During periods of economic uncertainty, logic posits that spending, especially on non-essential/discretionary goods, would drop. In the last year, however, unprecedented revenue from luxury brands has thrown this logic on its head, causing everyone to question what is behind the increased desire to buy and buy luxury goods.

Luxury autos are parking in never-seen-before profits

From Ferrari to Bentley, Lamborghini to Rolls Royce, luxury automakers have posted record-high revenue for FY 2022. For example, Rolls Royce reported that for the first time in its 188-year history, it exceeded 6000 deliveries in a single 12-month period and exceeded its target. Bentley too: the British automaker exceeded 15,000 deliveries in 2022, the first time in its history it would do so.

Almost all of these brands have confirmed orders well into 2023, so, it would not be amiss to say that they are set to break records once again and bring in even more profit this year.

For luxury timepieces the aphorism, ‘time is money’ has never been more true

Luxury automakers are not the only ones experiencing increased revenues and profits; luxury timepieces are having their moment too. Swatch Group, the conglomerate that owns brands like Omega and Breguet announced that its sales went up by 25% in 2022. in fact, it had to increase the prices of its pieces by 5% to 7% to control demand.

Luxury brands like patek phillippe are recording high revenues

As did other luxury timepiece brands like Zenith, Patek Philippe and even Rolex which is famed for increasing their prices once a year. While some may argue that it is to meet up with the cost of production, luxury brands are often forced to raise prices to stem demand, which appears to be what is happening here.

Not even luxury fashion is left out

According to the LVMH annual revenue report, its fashion and leather goods division saw a 22% revenue increase from 2021. Hermès’ leather goods and saddlery arm recorded a 15.6% increase, while Richemont, which has not published its earnings for FY22, appears to have enjoyed increased profits as well if its H1 2022 report is anything to go by.

Not even luxury fashion is left out of the ‘buying boom.’ Image courtesy of Tiffany & Co

Most of these luxury brands attribute their high sales to America, the Middle East and even Asia. But a recent report shows that Africa may also be a strong contributor to this success in at least one category – luxury timepieces.

As of February 2023, sales of luxury timepieces on the continent had reached US$262.8 million with South Africa responsible for almost half of the amount (a total amount of US$125.3 million comes from it alone). Statista, an online data company, believes that purchases in this category will only continue to increase on the continent in the coming years.

All of these numbers beg the question: why are luxury goods recording such high revenues even in Africa where many countries are experiencing macroeconomic challenges?

Luxury brands increased revenue is based on their resale value
The resale value of luxury products is most likely the reason behind their increased sales. Image courtesy of SCMP

The answer is in the resale market. According to McKinsey, the pre-owned luxury timepiece market is predicted to reach US$30 billion by 2025. Another study by IMARC predicts that the secondary luxury goods market will be valued at US$ 51.0 billion by 2028. And while the prices of some pre-owned luxury goods may not be as high as they were in 2020, they are still good enough to make these products a good alternative investment choice.

And this is why, poor economic outlook or not, luxury brands would continue to report high revenues: as long as their products continue to hold/surpass their value, the wealthy all over the world, including Africa, will continue to seek them out as sound alternative investment pieces.

2022 may have been a tumultuous year for global economies, but for luxury car brands, it was a different reality. The reports are in, and from Lamborghini to Rolls Royce to Bentley, last year might as well be ‘the year of the luxury car’ as almost all auto brands recorded increased sales and deliveries.

Rolls Royce

The British brand, according to an official press release, had its highest-ever annual sales in 2022. It sent out a total of 6,021 cars, the first time in its 118-year history it has exceeded 6000 deliveries in a 12-month period.

This increase is not limited to just one model, although the Cullinan topped the list of the ‘most in-demand Rolls Royce.’ Its Bespoke commission has also received increased patronage, mostly from the Middle East.

Bentley

Bentley’s growth started in 2021 when it delivered 14,659 cars, up from 11,206 cars the previous year. And it did not stop in 2022. With a total of 15,174 deliveries, not only did it smash its 2021 records, but it also created a new a new one: it would be the first time the luxury automaker would surpass 15,000 deliveries in a single year.

Bentley was another luxury brand with high delivery rates for 2022
Bespoke programs also helped to boost luxury car sales and deliveries in 2022. Image courtesy of Bentley

Like Rolls Royce, Bentley’s success can be attributed to the Bentayga, its luxury SUV. The highly celebrated model accounted for a whopping 42% of sales, while the bespoke Mulliner programme also contributed to the high numbers.

Lamborghini

A 10% increase in deliveries meant that Lamborghini successfully got 9,233 of its cars to their owners, up from 8,405 the previous year.

The Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica
As luxury cars continue to roll out new models to meet demand, more buyers are trooping in to snap them up. Image courtesy of Lamborghini

In what is now a clear denominator across all luxury auto brands, increased demand for the Urus Super SUV is the major reason for this number.

Porsche

The German luxury brand managed to deliver a total of 309,884 vehicles in 2022 to its customers worldwide, representing a 3% increase from the previous year.

The Porsche Macan T contributed to increased sales for the brand in 2022
For Porsche, it was the same success story in 2022: more sales and deliveries. Image courtesy of Porsche

Again, the brand’s SUVs are primarily to thank for this success story: the Porsche Cayenne went out to 95,604 customers, while 86,724 buyers took delivery of their Macans in the same year.

How were luxury auto brands able to record such high sales in 2022?

According to industry experts, recessions or periods of economic volatility cause the rich to store their wealth in alternative assets like autos, jewellery and high-end timepieces to safeguard it against fluctuations. Since these assets tend to hold and even surpass their value over the years, it comes as no surprise that luxury cars enjoyed unprecedented sales in 2022.

Another reason proposed is that an increase in disposable income from the 2020 wealth surge means that the affluent have more than enough money to get themselves whatever they desire, hence the increase in the purchase of luxury items, including cars, which is considered a ‘wise’ way to dispose of extra funds.

the Lamborghini Urus Performante
By constantly evolving to meet consumers’ needs, luxury car brands have managed to remain desirable as seen in their 2022 sales stats. Image courtesy of Lamborghini

In the end, however, it appears that the answer is the principle behind every successful business: give people what they want while communicating your product’s unique and life-changing value, and they would pay you whatever you ask for. In other words, when people can connect real, tangible value to a product, they go all out to get it.

Nearly all the luxury car brands that experienced an uptick in sales/deliveries in 2022 have an SUV in their lineup. Clearly, luxury auto enthusiasts want utility vehicles that marry performance with high-end features, and these brands have successfully delivered.

2022 was clearly the year for luxury car brands and you might be wondering if their winning streak will continue into 2023. It is still too early to tell, but with the demand for luxury EVs rising, and with these auto brands rushing to deliver what is for some their first electric marques, the answer might very well be ‘yes.’

Or even more. Whether you’re looking to update your auto collection with a Urus, an Aventador, or even a Huracan, Lamborghini says that it is sold out for 2022. And 2023. And at least the first half of 2024.

“We already have 18-19 months waiting period for a new car,. We are selling more cars than we are able to produce,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed in a recent interview.

The Lamborghini Aventador, like ohter models, are sold out till 2024
Lamborghini is sold out till well into 2024. Image courtesy of Aventador
What Lamborghini model is responsible for these high orders?

That would be the Urus, which has sold 4,834 units this year, although the Aventador successor, a hybridized V12 engine set to debut next year, is a close contender: Lamborghini has so far received 3,000 orders for the supercar.

It is not surprising that the Urus is selling so fast. Since it was first unveiled in December 2017, it has managed to top the list of the best-selling Lamborghini marques in the shortest time ever. A few factors are responsible for this.

The Lamborghini Urus
The Urus remains Lamborghini’s best-selling model to date. Image courtesy of Lamborghini

Perhaps top of the list is the fact that it combines the powerful performance of a sportscar with the space and comfort of an SUV. With a twin-turbo engine that delivers up to 650hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, the Urus can move from 0 to 60mph in mere 3.6 seconds. It is also an all-wheel-drive, making it a comfortable enough machine if you ever find yourself driving off-road.

But the Urus is not just a high-performance SUV that you can just about drive anywhere. It is also a luxurious vehicle which is packed with all the bells and whistles that separate true luxury autos from the others. Its extremely spacious cabin is decked out with the finest materials to make your journey in it as comfortable as possible.

Getting the Lamborghini Huracan Tenicia soon would be impossible
Lamborghini appears to be recession-proof, which means that getting a new car from the brand is near-impossible. Image courtesy of Lamborghini

So yes, when you put together all of these features – luxury SUV + high-performance vehicle, on-road and off-road + high functionality + the Lamborghini name – it only makes sense that of the 7,430 units the Italian auto brand sold in the first nine months this year, the Urus takes a larger chunk.

So, what do you do if you want a Lamborghini?

Your guess is as good as ours: join the waitlist. Or, if you would rather not wait for so long, look for a credible reseller offering the exact model you desire. Taking the second option however means that you would be unable to ask the brand for custom features, so maybe waiting till 2024 might be the better alternative for you.

You may have heard people say that Mercedes, for all its talk about being a luxury brand, usually creates autos that fall short of this label. These critics may well be eating their words now with the unveiling of the close-to-production Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture.

Haute couture, meet haute voiture

Along with the many regulations that cause a fashion house and its garments to be considered high fashion, haute couture, at its core, is a title given to uniquely-styled garments that are made to perfection (after different fittings) using the best-skilled craftspeople working with the finest – and sometimes rarest – materials.

For the Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture, the Mercedes-Benz Group AG employs the exact same specifications, taking all the significant factors of remarkable runway dresses and using them in the manufacturing of the vehicle.

For the exterior, a two-tone paint finish of dark nautical blue for the upper part and the forged wheels, and, a light, shimmering rose for the lower part and the sides, was used. The unusual colour combination screams luxury while immediately providing a sense of elevated elegance.

Continuing with the theme of haute couture and runway glam, Mercedes brings in the light rose and nautical blue to the interior, only this time, they add white to the mix for an even more heightened sense of elegance.

The radiant white colour takes centre stage in the interior, being the colour of the Nappa leather used for the seats, armrests, lower part of the instrument panel, steering wheel and the roof lining. It is also the colour of the dashboard support and the faux fur used in the door pockets, inlay mats and scatter cushion.

This radiantly bright look is interspersed with nautical blue Nappa leather on the window frames and along the beltline, while an haute-couture-inspired, high-quality bouclé fabric in blue, beige, rose gold and gold hues embraces the passengers in the rear and sweeps in an arc down to the door. The material also makes flash appearances elsewhere in the interior – for example on the seats and scatter cushions.

From Haute Voiture to luxury fashion
The barrel bag was made using the same materials the make up the interior of the car
Barrel bags are part of a capsule fashion collection accompanying the marque

To complete the elevated holistic luxury experience of the Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture, the designers created a barrel bag in different sizes along with two outfits – all handmade from the original materials of the vehicle interior.

For the bags, they combined the Nappa leather with the bouclé fabric and also use the latter in combination with other fashion materials to make the rather glamorous outfits, one of which is a ladies’ suit consisting of a tailored jacket and a short A-line skirt. Others include a delicate lace dress made to complement the suit and a modern mock neck top also made of bouclé. A long skirt rounds it off with a train.

The clothes were also inspired by the concept mercedes maybach haute voiture

The Concept Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture will be a strictly limited edition marque available for purchase in 2023. For the lucky few who will own it, it will be a beautiful reminder of the kind of magic that happens when luxury, fine craftsmanship, and haute couture meet.

Getting to a hundred years is a big deal, and the Mercedes-Maybach knows this. Which is why it has chosen to celebrate this important milestone with a limited-edition S680 4MATIC sedan and a special-edition GLS 600 SUV.

Dubbed the Edition 100, these centenary models take the Mercedes-Maybach’s mark of tech-infused elegance to a new level. Both models share sufficient features with their ‘ordinary’ counterparts, but take on additional attributes that make them truly exceptional.

The exterior of the Maybach 680 4MATIC Edition 100

For example, the centenary model has the same 6.0-litre V-12 bi-turbo engine as the 680 4MATIC sedan released earlier this year. Its nine-speed automatic sends power to all four wheels and can generate a maximum of 621 hp while moving from 0-96 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

The GLS 600 Edition 100 is also similar to its ordinary version. It comes with a V8 engine that can produce up to 557hp (this is higher than the non-special edition that produces 550hp) and can move from 0-96 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

But this is where the similarity stops.

Both Edition 100 models come in a hand-painted, two-tone Cirrus Silver/Nautical Blue colourway and will ride on a set of forged wheels finished in dark chrome. The interior of both vehicles will also be covered in a unique Crystal White and Silver Grey Pearl quilted leather covering accented with Piano Black trim and pinstripe detailing. The ‘Edition 100’ badge will feature prominently throughout.

Prices have not yet been announced, but both the Mercedes-Maybach Edition 100 680 4MATIC sedan and GLS 600 are expected to ship in 2022 with orders starting in the fourth quarter of this year. They will both be limited to 100 units only, and would both come with a complimentary unique branded car cover and special case meant to store keys and the auto’s paperwork.

Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling, and British luxury automaker and marketer, Bentley, have announced the end of their 19-year partnership that has been heralded as the longest ever collaboration between an auto and watchmaker brand.

In celebration of this iconic and largely successful partnership, both brands look back on the key moments and products of their 19-year history together.

Timeline of the Breitling – Bentley Partnership

2002:

If you are an auto connoisseur or even a car collector, one of the dream cars on your list would most likely be a Ferrari. Apart from the hype and desire the Italian brand creates around its marques – which are usually produced in very limited quantities – the name Ferrari is synonymous with luxury, class and sophistication and they have a long history of manufacturing some of the best high-performance vehicles of all time.

But, are these enough to justify taking hundreds of thousands of dollars out of your bank account and investing in a single Ferrari?

The Ferrari 488 model
A Ferrari is synonymous with luxury, class and sophistication. Image courtesy of The Verge

Probably yes. However, buying a Ferrari is more than the name or its performance. Turns out that there is more to owning one than the status it will confer on its owner. For starters,

Ferraris hold their value

Much like all vehicles, a Ferrari will depreciate in value once it rolls out of the auto dealership. However, you may also know that supercars retain their value much better than your typical car. This is certainly true for the Italian brand as they are exclusive and produce very few cars compared to other brands. You are more likely to see a Ferrari in a movie than on the road and this means that they will always be valuable assets that hold their value well.

The Ferrari Stradale Spider
Ferraris hold their value well and usually perform better on the resale market as a result. Image courtesy of Robb Report

Also

Buying a preloved Ferrari is not so bad

The fact that the models hold their value well also means that buying a pre-owned one could be a smart move to make. This would allow you to make huge savings on the cost of what will always be an enormous expense, plus you will have sidestepped the biggest depreciation hit which occurs in the first year so you will lose less by buying it on the resale market.

And it also means that you may be able to re-sell your vehicle at a good price as a result.

However

A Ferrari is picky: it chooses its owner

Simply because a Ferrari is a smart investment does not mean any investor can stroll into a dealership and buy one. Purchasing one is not a process for the fainthearted because the Italian manufacturer actually has a strong hand in who buys their cars: you don’t choose Ferrari, a Ferrari chooses you.

To pass the brand’s tests, you will need to check certain boxes – undergo and pass a background check; agree to not selling the car in the first year without giving notice and, agree to not carrying out any modifications on it because they are perfect as they are. It is also reported that collectors that have a Lamborghini are banned from VIP lists for limited edition Ferrari vehicles (this is a result of an intense rivalry between the two).

Lastly

Owning a Ferrari is a life-changing experience

If you do manage to pass the tests and you have the funds to make the purchase, a Ferrari can change your life in more ways than one. You will become a part of an exclusive club and turn heads wherever you go, a proud owner of one of the most desirable cars in the world.

With remarkable collaborations between successful global brands such as the Gucci-Balenciaga hack and the Marvel-Audemars Piguet partnership, it is safe to say that 2021 is the year of iconic collaborations. And now, driven by the Japanese billionaire entrepreneur, art collector, and supercar enthusiast, Yusaku Maezawa, Rolls Royce and Hermès have joined the list for the second time in their histories.

A revolutionary collaboration

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are, for many, the pinnacle of luxury. In its “standard” version, it already outperforms practically any other refined experience. And with the introduction of its Black Badge lineup and the launch of its Cullinan SUV, the average age of its buyers went down drastically, making Rolls-Royce, surprisingly to many, a luxury car brand with high appeal to young customers.

Hermès, the French luxury house known for its signature leathers, just posted a record Q1 with 30% growth over 2019. Like Rolls-Royce, Hermès manages to successfully attract young audiences via celebrities, movie stars, and digital influencers that are eager to get their hands on a limited-edition Birkin bag (now considered the most iconic handbag of all time by many). Birkins regularly achieve price-points exceeding a hundred thousand US dollars and have been outperforming most other investments over the past two decades.

When both brands come together to create a unique piece, it will undoubtedly influence the luxury world.

The one-off Rolls Royce x Hermès Phantom Oribe

When Yusaku Maezawa steered Hermès into a collaboration with Rolls Royce, he had a simple goal in mind: create a ‘land jet’ that provides a driving experience similar to private air travel. Both luxury brands listened, and the result is one of the most elegant and understated bespoke Phantoms ever.

The antique Japanese Oribe ware that influenced the car's unique colours

The car’s two-tone exterior matches the characteristic green and cream glazes of antique Japanese Oribe ware from the Maezawa’s collection. The upper part is finished in Oribe Green – a colour created exclusively for the client. Maezawa also persuaded Rolls Royce to make the colour available for his private jet that will match his bespoke auto, making the creation even more unique. The interior has been finished in Hermès Enea Green leather.

Commenting on this unique creation, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce says, “This magnificent expression of our pinnacle product represents a landmark for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, bringing together two houses with more than three centuries’ combined experience and heritage. This majestic and tasteful Rolls-Royce Phantom demonstrates what is possible when talented people from two of the world’s great houses work closely together alongside a far-sighted, inspirational client like Maezawa-san. It is a meeting of minds, expertise, visions and skill that represents the very best of our respective craftspeople and capabilities.”

Driving Luxury through unique stories

Yusaku Maezawa is no newcomer to making headlines. In addition to having an estimated net worth of over $3 billion, he also owns some of the most exclusive cars in the world and makes global headlines that further raise his and his brand’s profiles.

Although the Phantom Oribe actually represents the second collaboration between Rolls-Royce and Hermès – back in 2008, the two houses created a one-off, steely-grey Phantom for the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris – by agreeing to join their craftsmanship with that of Hermès and the personality of Maezawa along with his special art, Rolls Royce has succeeded in creating a truly unique story, almost guaranteeing a significant value increase of the Oribe over time and further fueling the equities of both brands.

In terms of extreme value creation, the car is a masterpiece from which other brands can learn. Limited editions have incredible potential, but most brands have yet to tap into them. Also, brands should rigorously focus on brand equity creation, which builds excitement, inspiration, and desire. And lastly, to appeal to younger audiences, brands should stay true to their values. The Rolls-Royce Oribe is the perfect example of these tenets — a true masterpiece.

Everyone’s dream is valid, and when the dream is related to cars, no one understands it better than Ares Design. The Modena-based manufacturer has made a specialism out of specialist cars, taking existing models and transforming them into bespoke specimens that cater to a very exacting kind of customer.

Ares Design is led by CEO Dany Bahar, who set up the company in 2013. He pitches his products at the very highest level of the market, usually to serial collectors with in-depth knowledge of their favourite marques but who just want to go a little bit further. “The very, very high end is, as you might imagine, very, very demanding,” says Bahar, “because these people have access to everything that’s on the market already and they understand quality. But even if you’re the best customer of Ferrari or Rolls-Royce, you can’t just pick up the phone and call their CEO and say, “I want you to design a car for me, just the way I dreamt it last night.”

This is where Ares Design comes in. Bahar acknowledges that although high levels of customisation already exist elsewhere, manufacturers are mostly making superficial changes in terms of colour, trim and materials. “When we started this adventure, we knew we had to offer something that complies with safety regulations, of course, but also which has no limits to the imagination. Our clients understand personalisation, from aircraft to their yachts, to their homes.” Ares is therefore committed to the ruthless pursuit of individuality. “You can rarely stop somebody else from doing the same as you. But our ambition was for someone to design their own car exactly the way they wanted it, even if they drew it on a napkin during dinner.” Bahar points out that although the coachbuilding industry has been around for over a century, the desire for ultra-bespoke designs was no longer being catered for by an independent.

There’s also the question of economics. However much you charge for a car, Bahar explains that no factory can survive by simply creating one-offs. As a result, Ares acts as a launchpad for inspiration, taking customers’ ideas and then turning them into an extremely limited edition of ten or 20 units. “You can then go back to the customer and tell them they have created a project that others might enjoy. That’s an emotional benefit but it is also an important part of the business. It helps us to produce these limited series.”

All of Ares’ unique takes on classic designs started this way – “without exception,” says Bahar. “Customers will say they were a big fan of a particular car, or that the original is undrivable or unsafe and they’d like to have a modern version instead.” The Legends Reborn service involves tailoring bodywork over existing platforms, taking design icons as an inspiration but giving them a modern twist. Ares’ Panther Progettouno is inspired by the 1970s-era De Tomaso Pantera, with a modern Lamborghini Huracán as a basis, while two classic Ferrari designs, the 250 GTO and the 412, have both been given the Ares treatment. Other projects are more straightforward restorations, including a one-off 1964 Chevrolet Corvette that has been given new running gear from a contemporary model, and a meticulous Porsche 964 Targa that conceals Porsche 997 mechanicals beneath its retro skin.

There’s also an original project in the works. The S1 Project and S1 Project Spyder fulfil a simple brief: “to create a car that combines the design of a hypercar, the performance of a supercar and the accessibility of a sportscar” – a sentence that rather neatly sums up the problems of ultra-limited editions. When it comes to performance, the big-name manufacturers are effectively trapped in a numbers game of their own making; they can never afford to concede the relationship between power, performance and design. In contrast, Ares has far more flexibility. The Project S1 looks impossibly dramatic, and yet at its heart is a Chevrolet Corvette C8. This makes it easy to maintain and drive, yet with more than adequate performance. At around €500,000, it is a fraction of the cost of a limited series Ferrari or McLaren.

Such is the attention to detail and undeniable good taste of the company’s output, that Ares could become an increasingly important player. “We’re our own brand, we’re not looking at reviving other names,” Bahar says simply. All our products have a reason to exist because they’re unique. Uniqueness is more and more important – we would never just create a car you could already buy from a manufacturer. That’s how we’ll continue to be successful in the future.”

Do you think you have everything you need in your car? A single button that allows you start and stop your car without the stress of turning a key? A colourful dashboard that allows you quickly diagnose your car’s health in any weather and under any condition? A large cabin that gives you room for your legs? An infotainment system that syncs seamlessly with your device? Plush, comfortable seats? Different driving modes that enable you navigate smooth roads and rough terrains easily?

Rolls Royce is telling you it is not enough. You do not have everything you need in a car.

“Our Ghost clients are entrepreneurs who operate in complicated business worlds, so, when they experience the Ghost, we want them to feel calm and relaxed. For the new Ghost, we took what we had already learned from the previous model, and applied even more technology and scientific theory to create what we call ‘The formula for serenity’,” Rolls Royce said in a short, animated teaser on its next-generation Ghost sedan ahead of its launch.

The 2021 Ghost is finally here, and the luxury car brand says it is the world’s most quiet car. Its body is made of aluminium which has the dual benefit of being lighter than steel and transmitting less noise. Double-skinned sections of the marque such as the floor and bulkhead, as well as its shape, help to further insulate the cabin, while any noise that would have been caused by the car’s functions have been eliminated.

Beyond the technology behind the “Formula for Serenity” that is the main characteristic of the new Ghost, the car features a cleaner, more rounded, less fussy interior and exterior. But there are other elements that give it a very distinct look.

For starters, the grille contains 20LEDs that subtly illuminate its stainless-steel blades, giving the car a unique lighting signature. Beside it are larger, more rectangular headlamps and just beneath it is a full-width black intake with honeycomb inserts. The interior of the 2021 Ghost has also been redesigned, with less stitching on its seats and a passenger-side panel that contains 152 tiny LEDs that highlight the Ghost logo.

The new Ghost, however, retains some of the elements from previous versions. The 12-cylinder engine remains the same, delivering 563 hp and 627 ft-lbs of torque to all four wheels. Custom engine mapping allows the V-12 to produce maximum torque from just 1,600 rpm. The chassis was improved upon, with the suspension mounting assemblies pushed to the very front of the car to allow the 6.75-litre V-12 sit comfortably behind the front axle, achieving an optimum 50/50 weight balance.

Although production of this all-new Ghost has already kicked-off, there is still no word on its pricing. We will know soon enough though.
